After exploring and playing around with a few different layouts and designs for my homepage, I decided to strip it back completely and go for something very simplistic but aesthetically pleasing.
Rather than having a photograph on one part of the page with various links to other pages and then having the logo for my artist at the top of the page, I discovered that you could make a video the backdrop of a page. I went through my original videos to see if I had anything that could make the website stand out. I decided to go for the close up video of my glitter lamp which changes colour and makes it very hallucinogenic. This represents my artist in a very mysterious and unique way that I feel would make my target audience want to find out more about them. It also alludes to the music video as the lamp is used throughout to create the dream-like atmosphere.
I haven't decided what I am going to place below the artist's name yet but I'm thinking about making it a link to my #FREETHEANIMALS page as this will make the viewers want to find out more about this social media event and want to engage with it.
