Production: Looping the song

So far, i feel that my video is up to a good standard. I have included the intertextual references that i wanted to add, and have met most of my brief. My song had a shorter running time than the brief had said which is 3 minutes whereas mine is 2 mins and 15 seconds. In order to extend this, i have looped some parts of the song that i would like to extend and add more footage to. I have done this in a way that is unnoticeable and flows well with the song.
This has made the climax of the chorus more effective and allows me to use all of my footage.

Planning: Costume

Costume plays a key role in my video as I want the actors to be very stereotypical and not become too complex that the audience don't understand who/what they are supposed to be. The star who is the jogger, is to war basic sportswear with limited cold colours to show who she is, and contrast with the other characters.
The mysterious beings are to wear all black: joggers, hoodies, shoes with masks that I will design. This creates a very simple but spooky look that's monotonous and emotionless to create fear within the audience. This look will become "iconic" and influence audiences to purchase a mask from the merchandise store on the website.

Planning: Actors

The actor I have chosen to play the role of the jogging girl (the star) in the video is Amy Fix (below). I have chosen her because she is a drama student who can take on various complex roles, and I feel that she would be able to play this one in particular very well. Also, she is a runner which is important because the star is a jogger in the woods so the actor would have to be prepared to run various times in many takes and not get too tired. She is also very attractive which is a necessity for this role as she must be the idyllic version of the other blonde girl's self.

I have chosen Tegan Mason (below, left) to play the role of the girl (the star) in the room as, although she is still very attractive, she is less so than Amy which an important aspect in reflecting the narrative as Tegan's character feels unhappy within herself, causing her to create this fake reality. I have also casted Emily Smith (below, right) to play the role of the masked "outsider" as she has experience in dance and drama and will therefore be able to embody the physicality that I am looking for as well as use her body language in an eerie, scary manner.
